Key Words:
- Entertainment - Getting the attention of an audience by making them relax and enjoy the activity
- Information - Facts about a topic
- Promotion - To advertise a product by raising awareness of a product or campaign which increases the popularity in order to make sales
- Revenue Stream - Its a method to raise money for a project. They can be unpredictable meaning its a risk and return method.
- Sponsorship - Money given to a brand in order to associate with a certain product of theirs. This can involve product placements in films of a brand or logo showing the viewers the sponsors of the product.
- Crowdfunding - A method of funding which can be done through platforms such as Kickstarter.
- Corporate finance - The rising of money from businesses willing to invest in a project. The business must be convince that they will receive more money back in the long run form their investment. investment returns are measured over long timeframes, such as ten year for films.
- Advertising - Momentary payments from brands and organisations in return for the placement of promotional material on pages or during product.
- Franchising - The intellectual property of the original product licensed
- Milestones - Checkpoints built into tasks so that the media production allows tracking or performance against a deadline
- Gantt Chart - Its a timeline schedule of tasks which has resources allocated to them.
- Production Schedule - An estimated time for a product to be complete and ready to be sold
- Contingency - A back up plan, extra time or budget allocated to a task.
- Proposal - A formal written plan produced for others to assess the validity of a project
- Pitch - Its a presentation of your product or project which can gain attention and financial support
- High Concept document - One page document summarising a product.
