Evaluating Pre-Production Documents

Image
Why do we evaluate pre-production documents?  Evaluating the effectiveness of preproduction documentation is vital in ensuring that the final version that is sent to the production team is effective.  If documents aren't checked, they could be the cause of a major planning problem, so its important that the quality of the documents is evaluated.  How to evaluate:  Suitability of content for meeting the brief and usefulness in adding the production team in producing the product. Suitability of content for the target audience. Should use: Positive Language. Consideration for the original designer creator. Specific feedback on an y suggested improvement - Justifying why it would make the document more effective.  Evaluating Pre-Production Documents. Floor plan / Set Design: No annotations - so the crew (director, camera-man etc.) know what goes  where.  No colours - unawar...

Exam Questions

1. Identify two costs that you may need to consider when developing a new phone app and explain how these costs impact on the project.  A. One cost may be the wage of the app designer, graphic designer or someone who can code. They may be paid for the whole project or by an hourly basis. This might impact the project because if no one has the skills already they may need to pay another designer which affect both time and money. Another cost might be to copyright the name of the app so that other people do not use it once it has been launched. This would impact the project positively so that the name cannot be copied.. This does take time however, so it might delay the project if they needed to wait for this to happen. 3. You have been offered a job as an apprentice for a company called Align Media. When they offered you the apprenticeship, you were required to sign a from giving the intellectual property rights of any work you produce to Align Media.  A. T...

Ethics surrounding "The passion of Christ"

Ethical Issues: The Passion of Christ Mel Gibson directed this film, which in itself is really controversial. This is because Mel Gibson anti-semitic meaning that this film has many ethical issues to start with such as being very one sided and not portraying the story as its meant to be showed.  Some Jewish individuals and groups expressed concern that the movie will reinforce the concept of  deicide  (the killer of a god) that the Christian church has attributed to the entire Jewish people. In the past, the church taught that all Jews were "Christ killers" and were equally responsible for causing Jesus' execution. The film does not only show a few Jewish leaders calling for Jesus' torture. The film portrays nearly all Jews in the Temple, Jews in the streets, Jews in the courtyards, Jews on bridges over Jesus' paths as stoning, condemning, screaming and beating on Jesus. Nearly every Gibson-created scene portrays the High Priests and the J...
